ANNA WHISLER

LCSW

My name is Anna Whisler. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Logan, Utah. After getting my MSW in 2012, I worked towards my LCSW and received it in 2015. During that time I worked for 6 years at the State of Utah, Division of Child and Family Services. I served in various positions, including family preservation and as an adoption specialist. In 2017, I started my own private practice which has grown significantly over the past several years. I am extensively trained in EMDR, DBT, and ACT. I am also proficient in IFS and CBT. I've completed training as a psychedelic integration therapist and have a passion for this speciality area. I also work often with LDS faith transitions and the LGBTQ+ community.

My supervision style is non-judgmental, ethically-minded, and passionate. I am careful to select my supervisees, and will only work with people not afraid to be challenged, be willing to acknowledge and work through their own "stuff", and are open and passionate about the work they are doing! From learning to work with clients to starting and growing a successful private practice, I have the experience to help guide your future career. I love to see others in the field succeed!

Supervision is provided via Zoom on Friday mornings from 8 AM to 9 AM. Individual supervision is available upon request but no more than once per week. A release of information and confidentiality agreements must be signed and your place of work must agree to my supervision. The cost of supervision is $50/hr for group and $100/hr for an individual session.

I am able to supervise all provisional therapy license types in Utah except for LMFT. I currently have 3 openings.

KAREN LACY

LCSW

My name is Karen Lacy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Logan, Utah.  I graduated in 1995 with a degree in Social Work and a minor in Marriage and Family Therapy. After I received my MSW in 2001, I became fully licensed in 2006. For 15 years I worked in community mental health as a child, adult and family therapist.

I have also worked for nearly two years at Hill Air Force Base where I served active-duty military. Most notably during this position I worked with victims of combat and sexual assault trauma. It was during this time in 2016 that I was first trained in two different trauma treatments which the Department of Defense endorsed: Prolonged Exposure and EMDR.

In 2017 I began my own private practice in both the Ogden Utah area, and soon after, in Logan Utah. At the same time I worked as a contractor with the Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health to provide clinical assessments to residents of skilled nursing facilities and I still continue that endeavor. I am now a part owner at Family Solutions Counseling where three of us manage a team of 12 therapists and 8 other employees. In our agency we have been trained to provide comprehensive DBT, which I have used in therapy since beginning in community mental health approximately 15 years earlier. We also utilize ACT and CBT.  However, reducing trauma via EMDR is my passion and I use it on daily basis as I continue to provide individual therapy to trauma victims. I have utilized it with perhaps hundreds of clients over the past six years. I also provide clinical supervision in these areas, EMDR, ACT, CBT and DBT to several other therapists in our agency.

I am able to supervise CSWs towards their licensure and am an approved supervisor for Marriage and Family Therapists as well. I have a passion for providing therapists towards becoming their best professional selves in an exciting field: the ability to help others work toward the goals and visions they have for themselves.
