WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BECOME A THERAPIST?
WHATS YOUR THERAPEUTIC APPROACH?
I am very eclectic in my therapeutic approach as each client has their own needs. My therapeutic approaches include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focuses, Trauma Focused CBT, Mindfulness and Brainspotting as well as others.
WHAT KIND OF HOMEWORK OR ASSIGNMENTS DO YOU GIVE CLIENTS?
I feel homework assignments are very important to growth as they help change thought processes, behaviors and help the client progress and overcome their challenges. Journaling can be a very powerful tool to help meet a client's goals. Journaling assignments are tailored to the individual to help develop insight, and assist in the change process. Other homework assignments may include mindfulness and breathing activities. Each homework assignment is individualized to the person and their needs.
