My goal as a therapist is to help you achieve the goals you set for yourself. We will work together to identify your strengths and find ways to use them to achieve the therapy goals you set for yourself. We will also work to identify your struggles and ways to work through them. Therapy can be hard. Know that I am there to support you throughout the journey.

KNOW YOUR THERAPIST

WHAT DID YOU GET YOUR DEGREE(S) IN AND WHERE FROM?

I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees at Utah State University. My bachelor's degree is in Family and Human Development with an emphasis on Community Services. My Master's Degree is in Rehabilitation Counseling.

SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

I worked with people with disabilities for several years and assisted them in achieving their emotional, educational, and employment goals

WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BECOME A THERAPIST?

In my years as a Rehabilitation Counselor I noticed a real need for therapists trained to help people on the Autism Spectrum. Having a son with Autism made this need more poignant to me. I feel my personal and professional experience has led me to this field and specialty.

WHATS YOUR THERAPEUTIC APPROACH?

My personal and professional experiences have taught me that everyone has value. Everyone deserves to be accepted and loved for exactly who they are.

WHAT KIND OF HOMEWORK OR ASSIGNMENTS DO YOU GIVE CLIENTS?

With me, homework is lowkey. No handouts or worksheets. Homework will be steps to achieving your goals in therapy.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST SESSION WITH YOU?

The "unknown" is the scariest part of starting therapy. With me, your first session will be getting to know each other. What you can expect of me. And, if you're comfortable, you can share your reasons for coming. I strive to provide a comfortable environment with very little pressure.
