Help for Groups

In addition to individual therapy, many people can benefit from meeting with others in a group setting. Groups can act as an important network where members help each other with support, friendship and accountability. Group therapy sessions are led by one of our therapists who guide group members with strategies for managing issues and problems. The group therapy environment provides a safe and confidential space to work through common issues and to encourage each other who face similar difficulties. We take great care in connecting our clients to the right group.  Yet, we are always forming new groups to support the your personal growth.

Authentic living isn't just an ideal, it's critical to your overall mental and emotional wellbeing. However, when being authentic has the potential to cause you to be in danger, be discriminated against or be rejected, it's a heavy task that must be proceeded with cautiously. Meet others in various stages of being their most authentic selves the safest way possible. You do not have to be "out" to attend this group. Confidentiality will be strictly enforced for all members. You may attend in-person (with masks and social distancing observed) or join via telehealth. This group will  be support-focused but will also allow for processing your experiences and past pain as well as providing education and resources on mental and emotional well-being. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thursdays  at 5-6:30pm

This 8 week course will help you and your co-parent learn the essential skills to parent in the healthiest way. Children fare better post-divorce or parent separation when parents communicate regularly about their needs, are on the same page with discipline, rules and structure, and allow the other parent to maintain and fulfill that important role in your child's life. If you and your co-parent are willing to make changes, set aside differences and let go of toxic patterns, this group will be a huge support on that path. The group is a mix of psychoeducation (teaching) and processing/support.

Completion certificate, attendance report, receipt and participation/implementation closing statement will be given to participants.

Contact our office for pricing.

Wednesdays at 5:30pm
Starting August 26th

This 8 week group is ideal for men (18+) experiencing difficult emotions due current life circumstances or painful past experiences. Support, psychoeducation, processing and sharing will be part of the group. Leave social expectations about how you "should" feel and behave behind, and instead connect with other men willing to acknowledge that MEN have feelings, TOO.

Once a month (Tuesday) for 2 hours

In recent years, individuals in the LDS religion have been exposed to more and more historical information online leading to cognitive dissonance between religious belief and personal or moral convictions. Additionally, the gap between traditional religious beliefs and modern day social movements continues to widen, leading some LDS members feeling they must take a stand on either side of belief or non- to feel authentic. These challenges have led many people to experience increasing confusion, feelings of deceit, painful loss or change in beliefs, and strained or severed family relationships. Others may begin to recognize internalized shame from the way religion and spirituality was imposed upon them during their life. Navigating these experiences alone can be isolating and terrifying. Meet with others going through similar experiences in a safe and confidential environment. Learn skills for creating a new sense of meaning and identity within or out of "the church," feel supported even as you learn to move beyond your emotional pain and anger, and come to terms with changed relationship dynamics. Whether an active LDS member or "out" for years, you are welcome here.

This group will be held once per month for two hours in the evening. A private, online support community will be ongoing. The cost is FREE to attendees and you will be screened for appropriateness prior to joining and referred for additional services (such as individual counseling) as needed.
