WHAT IS AN INTENSIVE OUT PATIENT PROGRAM?
Intensive outpatient (also known as IOP) is a step down from a residential treatment center but a step up from typical once a week outpatient therapy.
It’s designed to meet mental health needs comprehensively while allowing for the flexibility of living at home and maintaining a sense of normalcy.
At FSC we take a holistic approach to your treatment, addressing any and every part of your life needed to help you in the process toward wellness.
Our licensed therapists, case managers, and medication providers work as a team to support you in reaching your goals.
INTENSIVE OUT PATIENT PROGRAM (IOP)
Getting the help you need... when you need it the most
FSC is committed to accepting every client where they are in their mental health journey. Every client will be provided with the opportunities to accept their own self and ways to commit to their own values in life. We are dedicated to clients implementing skills to improve their life and reduce their need for crisis intervention.
Our Treatment Modality
FSC’s program utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques to help you acknowledge how your past has served you and ultimately find new ways to receive the same benefits from a healthy and positive approach.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is based on 6 principles:
Self as Context
MORE ABOUT IOP?
Family Solutions Counseling provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP) to adults 18+ who have mental health concerns. FSC prides itself on creating an environment where clients feel comfortable to be able to engage in intensive treatment plans structured with group and individual therapy for 8 weeks.
IOP is intended to assist clients who have been struggling and has not found relief from traditional individual therapy. IOP serves clients who require less structure than offered in day treatment, inpatient, or residential treatment programs. The intention of IOP is to reduce recidivism rates for Emergency Room visits and hospitalization.
Groups will be three times a week for 3 hours. Clients will receive additional individual therapy weekly.
HOW IT WORKS
IOP meets for 3 hours a day, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Every hour will be filled with our utmost respect and support while assisting you on your wellness journey.
WHO WOULD BE A GOOD FIT FOR IOP?
Failed admission to behavioral health units
WHO WOULD NOT BE A GOOD FIT FOR IOP?
Individuals that are not ready to change or unwilling to commit to 8 weeks of intensive therapy.
Individuals that are actively facing homicidal ideations
Individuals that are primary struggling with substance abuse
FSC does not offer a detox program
HOW DO I PAY FOR IOP?
Insurance and payment is the last step towards admission into IOP. We accept most private insurance and self pay. Insurance pre authorization will be required before you are able to start the program. Pre authorizations can sometimes take up to 48 hours not including holidays and weekends. Once we have all your insurance information we will work with your insurance company. Once they provide authorization they will also determine if there is any out of pocket cost to you. We will require you to sign an agreement of payment for any portion your insurance will not cover. Payment is due at time of service. Payment will still be billed regardless of you missing IOP.
WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT?
IOP is a 8 week commitment. It is expected that you are present for all groups and individual sessions. We encourage everyone to participate and be present as you will get the most out of the program to the extent that you are engaged. We understand life happens, please call ahead and let us know as soon as possible if you can make it to IOP one day.
WHAT ABOUT COVID-19?
We have limited group size to 10 individuals to ensure there will be adequate room between individuals. We will be sanitizing and will have hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies available. We strongly encourage masks at this time. We will be following city mandates and have made preparations as needed for the pandemic.
WILL I BE REQUIRED TO TAKE MEDICATION WHILE IN THE PROGRAM?
No, we do not require that you be taking medication while in IOP. We are partnered with Cache Ketamine and Mental Health and have this service available to you. We do believe that the use of Ketamine while in IOP will enhance your experience. Additional information about Cache Ketamine and Mental Health are available here.
