ANNA WHISLER

Co-owner and founder of Family Solutions Counseling, CEO

Pronouns: she/her/hers

As the founder of Family Solutions Counseling, my goal was to establish a practice that serves under-served populations in our community. We live in a beautiful area geographically, and the people here are typically kind, caring, and family and religion-oriented. That being said, those that do not feel they fall into the majority groups that exist locally often feel disconnected from this community at best, or devalued at worst. As the parent of two LGBT children, it was important to me that there exists a safe environment to serve this population. When we opened our practice in 2017, we primarily served people who identify as “ex-Mormon” or LGBTQIAP+ . We continue to serve these populations and provide annual charitable contributions to local LGBT groups. As we’ve continued to grow, we’ve recognized the need to be more inclusive of everyone in our community as mental health, family, or addiction challenges touch every family in some way. We’ve selected therapists in our practice with a varied spectrum of life experiences, personal and religious beliefs, clinical experience, education and certifications. We know you’ll find someone here you can feel comfortable working with to become your best self. Our entire administration team is very invested in making sure each client who enters our practice feels comfortable, safe, and has a healing experience. Please reach out to us directly to share any feedback you may have for us.

TESSA ZIPPAY

Co-owner and COO
Pronouns: she/her/hers

As part of the administrative leadership team at Family Solutions Counseling, I work behind the scenes and alongside our team to ensure that both our clients and clinicians have a smooth, supportive, and well-organized experience. My role blends client care with business operations—I help oversee daily processes, support our staff, and make sure everything runs in a way that allows our therapists to focus on providing quality care.

For our clients, I’m here to make the process feel clear and stress-free from the very beginning. I assist with scheduling, therapist matching, insurance and billing questions, and navigating financial options. I also help address any concerns that come up along the way, ensuring you feel supported, informed, and confident in your care.

It’s completely normal to have questions like: What if my therapist isn’t the right fit? What will sessions cost? Does my insurance cover this? Whatever comes up, I’m here to help guide you through it with care and clarity—so you can focus on what matters most: your growth and well-being.

On the business side, I help manage operations, improve systems, and support the overall growth and sustainability of the practice. This includes working closely with our team, problem-solving day-to-day challenges, and helping create an environment where both clients and staff can thrive.

Outside of FSC, I’m passionate about building connection and supporting mental health in our community. I’ve been involved in suicide prevention efforts, helped co-direct and support the Logan Pride Festival, and volunteered in local schools. These experiences continue to shape the way I show up—with empathy, inclusivity, and a deep commitment to helping others feel seen and supported.

I truly love what I do and the opportunity to connect with our clients and team. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m always happy to help and support you however I can.

JAROD HUFFAKER

Co-owner and Clinical Director

Pronouns: he/him/his

After working several years in community mental health, child welfare, and medical social work, I began to develop a desire to shift my focus as a clinician. I wanted a career change. I felt I was unable to give people adequate time and dedication needed in working for corporate mental health organizations. I wanted to be able to help the individual, couple, and family on their terms. I wanted a change of pace to feel like I could truly make a difference in people’s lives; While also managing my own work and home life balance of being a father, husband, and pursuing my own passions in life. I found that thing at Family Solutions Counseling. This is a place I truly believe in! Family Solutions really focuses on this idea of being kind to yourself throughout this process, going at your pace, and having self-compassion. We have a team of clinicians who see people as people, and not just clients. We believe in the staff here and their abilities. You will be able to find a therapist that you can connect with even if that means switching therapists 2-3 times to find the best fit for you. This is your treatment and it’s okay to take ownership of your experience and feel empowered to make decisions that are best for you. Therapy is all about making the uncomfortable become more comfortable. Family Solutions is invested in this experience. It is the reason I pivoted in my career and am invested in helping others here at FSC.

At Family Solutions Counseling, we are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all clients. Our compassionate and dedicated owners prioritize equality and respect, creating a culture where clients feel supported and empowered to work towards their personal goals. From the moment you arrive, our friendly and supportive staff ensure your experience is comfortable and beneficial. Our team of diverse and experienced therapists are dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments tailored to meet each client's unique needs. We believe everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health care and take great pride in helping individuals and families overcome challenges and thrive, with our involved administration providing the highest level of care and support.
