KETAMINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY (KAP)
Provided by: Family Solutions Counseling & Cache Ketamine and Mental Health
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) integrates the benefits of both psychotherapy and ketamine. Ketamine has the potential to create an accelerative healing process for those suffering from a variety of different mental health symptoms and diagnoses. Insights are often gained while forming new perceptions and allowing space for an individual to gain a better understanding of symptoms and sense of self. Including psychotherapy during ketamine treatments can help you reach your goals in therapy

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each patient will have an integrative package that includes an intake with a medical provider as well as an intake with a psychotherapist. During sessions, your medical team will provide ketamine and monitor your vitals. Your therapist will be with you throughout your KAP treatment to support, guide, and integrate your healing process. Your process is tailored to your needs and can include traditional ketamine treatments, KAP, integration therapy (therapy sessions between KAP sessions).
After your intake with a medical provider and psychotherapist we will establish a course of treatment focused on your specific goals. A typical course of treatment will include 6 KAP sessions and 6 integration sessions. Sometimes we find that our clients need more integration sessions between KAP sessions, more KAP sessions, or more preparation therapy sessions before beginning KAP. This will be individualized to help you have the most productive experiences during your treatment. We will assess your progress and need for additional KAP services after about 6 KAP sessions. This may include tapering down the frequency of your KAP sessions or connecting you with a primary therapist to work with after completing your KAP sessions.
